Finding the Perfect Mouse for You
From my experience with friends, many overlook what I consider the most important aspect of a mouse: size. Most mice are designed for average-sized hands, which inherently isn’t ideal for everyone…
Although I’m fairly tall, the best mouse size for me surprisingly is small, not medium or large. Not only are they too big, they’re also causing sweaty hands over long sessions. In contrast, small mice fit perfectly fine, less sweaty, and lighter too.
Shape and Coating are the 2nd-most important aspects after size. Features like 8k polling are completely overrated and I’d always rank comfort over features. And if you think about it, you can’t really test comfort unless you visit a store and try.
Plenty of times I get stressed out seeing someone using a work mouse for gaming. It’s just not… proper at all. The reverse however works perfectly fine!
TL;DR / summary
- Prioritize: Size → Shape → Coating → Weight → Features
- Visit a store. Screw features.
- Consider Aesthetics too.
